Borntrager completed a full teardown and rebuild of our garage conversion master bedroom suite as well as re-siding our home and performing asbestos siding removal. The project ran incredibly smoothly and despite some surprises during demo, they kept us on schedule and were able to accommodate a move-in date that got us back into the space before our child was born. The team was conscientious about needing to pass through our living space to get to the work area and went to great lengths to help keep the rest of our house as clean as possible. The workmanship is top quality and we are incredibly happy with both our project team and the results. I would not hesitate to work with Borntrager in the future or to recommend them to anyone.

Our experience with Borntrager was incredible! Got quotes from three different contractors. Borntrager's quote was in the middle, their timeline was reasonable, and their quote was very detailed. We trusted that they had considered nearly everything from the start. Another huge plus was consistent communication. We were never in the dark about when next steps would take place. As long as we held up our end of the deal to make decisions on time, they got their work done on time. They work with us on minor changes during the build process. We love our new addition and are so happy that we chose them.

My family and I desperately needed a new kitchen, and we chose Borntrager Homes for the job. I can’t say enough about how happy we were with the entire process! The thing that drew us to Borntrager initially was their transparency - they laid out their pricing method SUPER clearly, especially when compared to other companies, and worked with us to get the budget to where we wanted it. And then they did their absolute best to stick to that budget, letting us know when and why they might need to deviate from it. That was really comforting because it allowed us to plan. On top of all that, they were super kind, very communicative, and gave us a beautiful kitchen! We definitely recommend Borntrager Homes!

Borntrager was great to work with. They were clear about the cost and how changes were handled. They were always accessible and helpful. We came very close to our budget going slightly over with changes that we initiated. Highly recommended.

My wife and I are just wrapping up a kitchen/ partial first floor renovation. I cannot express how happy we are with our relationship and workmanship with Borntrager. Michael Curtis, the managing partner, has such incredible honesty and multitasking abilities. His first temptation is never no when you talk about change. He’s a superstar. Our project manager was Ty and he’s a good man and always had our best interests in mind. He works hard and is also long on honesty. The payment structure is well defined, always fair and transparent. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants very high quality work done by good people.

We had a whole home remodel and we were very pleased with this company. They were honest, very responsive and willing to work with you to keep unexpected costs to a minimum. The quality of the work was excellent, and if there were any issues, they made sure that they were fixed. We were especially pleased with our new added front porch, the tile (shower and floor) and the subcontractors used for the kitchen cabinets and countertops!

I've worked with Curtis Borntrager and Borntrager Homes, Inc. since 2005, and I can confidently say they are one of the most reliable and trustworthy residential building contractors I've partnered with. The first home Curtis built was one of my new stock house plans, which turned out beautifully. A year later, his team built a custom home for my client—and that project won a state preservation award. Curtis and his team deeply respect the design and planning process. They follow my detailed drawings closely, which honors my hard work and my client's investment.

Over the years, Borntrager Homes has completed many additions and renovations for my clients. They are consistent. If there's a problem, they fix it. They don't disappear, argue, or push blame elsewhere. They communicate directly and clearly—whether it's a question about a drawing, something they notice on-site, or an issue that needs to be addressed. I can always get them on the phone. That kind of responsiveness is rare in this industry.

Their job sites are clean, organized, and respectful of the client's property. That says a lot about how they run their projects behind the scenes. Curtis and his Managing Partner, Michael Curtis, lead a professional, skilled team—and they've both invested in continued learning. Michael frequently checks in on project managers, ensuring they perform well and supporting team growth. I've even called Michael from time to time to bounce around ideas, and he's always generous with his insight.

What sets Borntrager Homes apart is more than just skill—it's their commitment to accountability, fairness, honesty, and quality. These aren't just marketing words for them. They have systems and a company culture that consistently deliver on those values. Many builders claim to produce quality work, but few back it up with this level of action and consistency.

When clients choose Borntrager Homes, Inc., I don't worry. I know the project will be built right and handled with integrity, even if a problem arises. They do what they say and build homes that stand the test of time.

As a Residential Designer and owner of Taylor Made Plans, I have high expectations for contractors. There are very few I would trust to build my own home—but Borntrager Homes is at the top of the list.

We were kept in the loop on all the details and the timeline. Subs were called back in if the work did not meet the standards and we were both satisfied. Great experience with this company.

We had the pleasure of working with Borntrager Homes last year to add a semi-attached garage to our home. Michael and Matt were a pleasure to work with. The bid process is very straight forward and Michael was very patient to ensure all questions were answered. During the build, Michael and Matt always answered our calls, quickly addressed our concerns, and always made sure the job was done right. We highly recommend Borntrager Homes for any construction job.
